Hoop
My 2008 EL's fuel pump failed at 65,000 miles. It has been 5 weeks, and the dealer cannot tell me for sure when the part will be available. Called Ford Customer service, they said they won't help with a rental car. Called back a week later and was told they will help with the rental car. Called back again after another week and was told no again. Filed a complaint with NHTSA for all the good that will do. The dealer says the part is unique to the EL. Any advice would be appreciated. Does it make sense for a 5 year old Ford product to not have critical parts available? Very frustrating.
Hoop
6 weeks later... part arrived, but now the EEC is bad. Wait another week for that part...
NLPRacing
6 weeks for a fuel pump? Why so long? Is there not a suitable aftermarket one available from Rock Auto or something like that?
