Wind Noise from Driver's door

I had the same issue - almost a whistling sound when at highway speeds. I reported it during my first service visit and they found (and resolved) the issue very quickly. It turns out there was a larger than normal gap somewhere in the drivers side mirror and the resolution was to adjust the spacing (I believe they added a strip of foam). I can't see anything different but it certainly fixed the issue.

I have the same issue. It was much worse this winter and whistled terribly. I took it in for the first oil change and they said they could not duplicate it. Now that it has warmed up it doesn't whistle, but I do get above average noise. If it comes back this winter I will have to take it in again.

Mine has the same issue and has been in 3 times for this without a solution. Now it's being blamed on the roof rails (which I have taken off the cross bars already).

Wind noise is above average on this vehicle, especially compared to my 2010 Fusion. Funny that they tout they went through all the effort with wind isolation, test dummies, insulated pillars, special mirror gaskets, blah blah blah.

I have a wind whistle in my brand new 2014 Escape.. any time I go above 55 mph, coming from passenger door! Had it in to Ford 7-8 times, and they can't fix it. I called Ford, and they said, "that's just the way it is"!! Never had any other car do this. Wish I bought Honda CRV!!!

Have them check the plastic ventilation tube in the door panel. Had my MKX in for a latch assembly and when the door panel was put back on, the connection between the tube and the part that channels it up to the side vent in the door sill became misaligned and created pressure inside the door panel....noise was only on when HVAC was operating. re-sealed the tube and the noise was gone.
