Ford Remote Access Hardware (Remote Start App iOS etc.)

So I have been looking for something like Viper smart start for my new Fusion when it gets here. I was happy to locate a new piece of hardware for it called Ford Remote access.

 

Other than me, Has anyone looked into this? Is there anyone reading this able to look into this further?

 

This system appears to be very much like Viper or Carlink. There is a ford custom accessory website to manage your account, and from what I can tell the subscription is $50 a year. This is less than Viper would be. It gives you the power to start your car from anywhere over the phone network. So plane runways, buildings with cell signal, state fairs, amusement parks, etc. are all fair game, no key fob range limitations.

Now my questions, for anyone who would know these things, what is the cost?

 

Does it cost less because I already have remote start installed from the factory, or is it one kit fits all?

I'm not sure, I haven't been able to get enough information on it yet. I thought maybe someone who has access to more information might know. It is a real new release in the past few weeks I guess.

 

I have need to start the vehicle beyond what the key fob range can reach, I find it very useful.

Interesting, I have yet to get a remote start so this is an option, $50 bucks a year is nothing really, I spend more than that one night at the bar lol.
