td284
Press release for the 07 Escape, outlining the exciting changes for this aging cute ute: To stay ahead, designers created two fresh appearance packages for 2007 that add a touch of class and pump up the excitement. The XLT appearance package includes painted silver metallic fascias, bodyside cladding and wheel lip moldings, with three new exciting exterior colors. The XLT Sport models get an updated and upscale monochromatic appearance package. Wow, I can hardly contain myself. Bold moves?
Edgey
So I guess those spy shots were of the 2008 model. That's a little disappointing, the Escape is really hurting for an substantive update. The Edge should at least put something fresh on the Ford lots for '07. Edgey
It's beginning to look like Ford is saving most of its refreshes for 2008. No all-new entries, just maintenance. The Edge will be the last all-new entry until the large CUV comes along, probably for 2009. The MKS is probably an '09er as well.

Walt
... with three new exciting exterior colors. Hummm... I must have missed those. Or is "silver/gray" now considered exciting and daring? The XLT Sport models get an updated and upscale monochromatic appearance package. Monochromatic? I thought only if you ordered the silver body color to match the silver bumpers? igor
Monochromatic? I thought only if you ordered the silver body color to match thesilver bumpers? well that is what they changed ... d'oh the 2 tone was getting old - especially with only 2 bumper colors - unpainted black and silver. 2005Explorer
Oh come on...the new Escape starts production in less then 6 months. Relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. Unless the doctor has given you less then 6 months to live, you should be able to buy one soon if you want.
