I agree with pillbox. Poops, I mean pillboy(stupid iPad). I mean opps! not poops. Stupid iPad again!! I hate auto complete sometimes. Anyway, I saw on Kelly Blue book today something interesting when I was messing around with new car pricing. There was a line item for front license plate bracket. I think the Escape would look much nicer and more finished with a front license plate bracket that bumps out just a little and is molded like on my wife's Honda.

There isn't one but I guess it's just a carry-over from past models. I wish there was one though, it just looks incomplete without one. Say, where did you get the schematic?

I took the dealers plate and cut it down so it didn't block any air flow. I like the look of the smaller plate.. :P

...the bracket was usually on the window sticker as a N/C line item

I've seen it as a no charge item, number 153 yet none of the window stickers in NH reflect it.

Coming from a performance-based turbocharged vehicle, be careful not to hang your license plates too low, otherwise you run the risk of not letting enough air through the opening to the intercooler. It needs to take in as much air as possible for the turbo to be 100% efficient.
