Squeaky 2006 E-150

Hard Driver

Recommended Posts

I have a 2006 E-150 cargo van with about 73,000 miles. Great vehicle ,still looks and runs great. The problem I'm having is that the frame or chassis squeaks at low speeds like when going through a parking lot or down a side street. If I rock it by hand it squeaks. I had it in for service at a Lincoln dealer and they said they greased something but weren't sure if it would help. It was quiet for about a month and now it's back. They didn't charge me and said if it comes back to go to a frame specialist. WTF? Is a squeaky suspension something a dealer can't correct. I was going to go to a Ford dealer but the wait list was too long and they referred my to the Lincoln dealer down the street. A little embarrassing driving a nice looking vehicle that squeaks down the street.

Any suggestions?

My '74 Mustang II was doing the same thing. Came out of nowhere. Took it to the local Ford dealer, they looked at it, couldn't find anything wrong bit uou could hear it in their parking lot. A few days later I lubed the door hinges, had been a while. Noise was gone. Hasn't returned. Just the door riding up and down on the hinges as I drove over rough pavement.
