If you do find a store that carries them, they usually only have one model available. It's hard to believe there aren't more vehicles out there that use this size. I looked up what the heck "SL" means - agricultural use only. No wonder I couldn't find any in stock anywhere It's just got regular P245/75R16 installed now. So if there are 30 choices, choose something in the top 10. Fourteen inchers are harder to find than previously but they are out there. Try Discount Tire or the previously mentioned Tire Rack ............ if they don't have 'em no one likely will. In the past with other vehicles ive always found that tire rack is good when noone else carries them. chucky2 Posted May 13, 2011 Share Posted May 13, 2011 I'd 2nd the suggestions of finding wheels in either 15" or 16" for your 14" wheeled Ranger (make sure to find out about backspacing and bolt concerns, should be plenty of info out there on sites like www.rangerpowersports.com and the like), and also, of going to TireRack and chosing the top tires in the categories. That being said, I've got an '03 FX4 Level II, auto, with the stock 15" wheels. Between the OE BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO's, Bridgestone Dueller A/T REVO's (in LT size, more tread depth than P rated - something to look at when buying any tire), and now the Firestone Destination A/T's, I like: The KO's the best for go anywhere'ness. The Destination A/T's the best for snow, ice, and water. I haven't had them in any mud yet. The REVO's were fine, better than the KO's when they were new, however after maybe 30k on them, they got much louder, didn't ride as nice, and had less performance. I'd say unless you're a mudder, if you want an A/T, the Destination A/T's are a good tire for the Ranger. Chuck Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Believe it or not, I had 105k miles on my 5-speed 3.0l Ranger on the original tires! Got Goodyear replacements at Walmart - good enough at this stage I suppose. metalhead0523 Posted January 5, 2012 Share Posted January 5, 2012 So my girlfriend has a 2000 ranger, 3.0, auto, flex fuel, 4X4, extended cab. Truck has the factory sticker for 15 inch rims. We bought it from a small dealer last fall, has 16 inch aluminum rims. Speedometer is slightly off now, has P255/70R16 tires right now. I've been seeing P245/75R16 as common listings for tires on the rangers. Are they the correct size? If not what is the factory size? We just picked up a set of Dunlop AT20's that are P245/75R16 for $150 for all 4 with F150 steel rims. Were swapping the tires over regardless, but are they the right size?
