12secrd
Hi, Placed an order for a 2011 F-150 FX4 Ecoboost on November 16th. Anyway to confirm if order has been processes/placed? Order No : 0000 Dealer : CGA3258 Priority : 80 Order Pep: 505A I am thinking the Vehicle Order Confirmation sheet they gave me was the first one they completed for me to show the pricing/options and to sign off on the order. That's why the order # is 0000. I signed off on the sheet and my salesman brought it over to Manager behind the computer he came back in 2 mins and said "done" order submitted. Can order still be checked by the dealer #? It's said to be the first one this dealer has ordered. Thanks Edited November 17, 2010 by 12secrd
cyberdman
If you actually have an order number and all that other info, then ummm yes you have been ordered. I am suprised they are taking orders for those already. CA3258 / 0000 In Order Processing - Unscheduled-Material Hold Nov-16-2010. I am quite sure this is probably the first one this dealer has ordered, but truthfully you can't really tell anything by what the order number is. Actually the number of the order it's self doesn't really mean anything, I could be order number 20C0 or 5555 from my salesperson and have my order submitted before you. In fact, your dealership has two different orders with 0000 as the order number.

Can you check on the "other" order you referred to in the above quote? Is there a way to determine which is my truck in that dealer order ? Maybe some these specific Order codes can help point out my truck out of the 2 orders.? Sorry if they don't I am not trying to make things harder for you. Is there any date available for the ECOBoost Builds? To my knowledge the Ecoboost will not be available until the 2011.5 model build, we have only built pre-production models to date. So I really would not expect to see that status change until after the new year. Sorry for the delay, but i believe that has been the plan from the start. cyberdman
Thanks for your insight. I didn't think those were shipping anytime soon - or even at all this year.

So I really would not expect to see that status change until after the new year. Sorry for the delay, but i believe that has been the plan from the start. If it is true this will be a 2011.5 model build which Date will that be started? And is it normal for Order sheet to state 2011 Model year? and not 2011.5? I contacted my sales person to see if anything has changed or been delayed and he checked with the Manager called me back and said no changes. He told me whenever Job2 starts my truck will start production. I tried to place order In early oct. but only the 3.7 and 5.0 where available. Dealer told me ecoboost was job 2. Salesperson called me Nov 16th to come in they can place order for ecoboost. I spoke with the Manager who informed me he was in touch with a rep from Ford Canada and that his dealership was allocated 2 ecoboost units in whatever trim he would like to order and they would start production as soon Job2 starts which is said to be soon @ Dearborn. Is there an official Job # 2 order date for Dearborn? Cyberdman Is there a way to determine which is my truck in that dealer order with those order codes I posted? For easier tracking in future. Thanks for the Info
cyberdman
There is only 1 truck in the system - yours - with that order number - that I have been reporting on. There are no official half model years ever released. Some people like to think that Job2 changes are half model years for their own benefit or whatever. Sometimes there are Job3 changes, that doesn't mean anything in model years. It is still a 2011 model year, period.

cyberdman
Sorry I wasn't able to get to you to give a last update before I went on vacation. Anyway ... you now have a VIN - 1FTFW1ET9BFA51689 and you are scheduled to start production the week of Jan 17th.
12secrd
Sorry I wasn't able to get to you to give a last update before I went on vacation. Anyway ... you now have a VIN - 1FTFW1ET9BFA51689 and you are scheduled to start production the week of Jan 17th. Salesman called me today to inform me the truck was slated to start production this week. I never bothered to pass along your information I just thanked him for the update. When you can check to see if anything changed I doubt it. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
cyberdman
Nope, what I told you is true. Shortly, probably next week sometime, you will actually be given the exact day that you will start production. Right now your "Scheduled to Week" is Jan 17th. Your salesperson was making it up, and didn't even look it up. Either that or was going off of some old estimated time table or something.
jmmec
Sorry for barging in, just to vent a little bit even though this is NOT my truck or discussion thread: It is hilarious (in a bad way) that salespersons still think it is the 1950's and that Al Gore hasn't yet invented the internet, and that information isn't otherwise available, and that they will never be caught in a lie. I called my salesperson asking if there was an ETA on the delivery of my F150 and she said, "We just had our morning meeting and there is no ETA." I pressed and asked, "Are you sure?", and she replied, "I'll double-check and will call you back IF there is an ETA, otherwise I won't call back." Of course, she never called back. Of course, I got the impression that she wasn't going to be calling back, so I immediately called the Ford Marketing Department and they gave me the ETA. Days later, I happened to speak to the sales manager (a different person) at the dealership and he confirmed the same ETA that I got from Ford Marketing, and told me that it was on a rail car, etc etc etc... (It will hopefully arrive this week.) It would be really inexpensive for Ford to develop a web app that would allow customers to get updates on their vehicles -- the information is there, it just needs to be presented to customers. cyberdman
Did you forget that you have a VIN? Once you get a VIN, forget all that order number crap and just provide me with the VIN please. Thanks. Other than that, I am not really seeing any official movement in your order. It was updated to say you were supposed to begin production on the 15th, but nothing since then other than "In Production". Rebump with your VIN next week and hopefully it will be complete and I'll have some details on when shipping may occur.
