macattak1
http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-800-829-7650 I knew this was fake. But they do leave a nice automated phone message stating a claim number and the 800-829-7650 number to call back by end of business day today! So I called. Automated voice wants your SS# of course. I did not put in. Waited on line. Guy answered and immediately put me back on hold. Then came back and gave his last name and some ID#. Then asked me for my name. Gave him my claim # they left. Asked me for my name. Told him my initials. Told me he needed my name. Told him to snail mail me. Said they do not do that. He got all flustered and threatening. Called the local IRS number got the 1040 number. Called and then asked the Real IRS if there was any issues. Doh! None. So spread the word. This was a pretty threatening call and I could see a lot of people calling and just putting in their SS# as they are scared. Lady at IRS said to never give them anything over phone if you don't feel comfortable and ask for it to be mailed out. Peace and Blessings
