EricC5Vett
After ordering a new FEH at the beginning of May, I finally just got a VIN # today. I don't understand why others have gotten them SOOO much faster. Can you confirm that this is in fact a real VIN # and tell me where it stands? Thank you so much... EricC5Vett
Bump... And can I get the window sticker when it's available... Thank you for doing this for everyone, this is quite a commitment and sacrifice of your own time that you make to a whole lot of strangers. Ford should pay you as a PR freelancer for this, you are definitely performing a valuable service to both the company & the public... Do you have a Viper? EricC5Vett
Any idea why a vehicle that was produced 9 days ago on 9/12 has not been released & shipped yet? Other Hybrids built after mine have been shipped. Should I be worrying that something is wrong? Anyway to check?
ViperPilot
I haven't seen any hybrids in the system that have shipped since around the 10th, I don't know why, and there's no way to find out unless someone at the plant comes forward. It's a batch hold of some sort -- could be anything from a supplier being out of stock for a part to a part engineering change they want to incorporate into the vehicles before they ship. Would I be concerned? No. Obviously, if there is some issue, they are holding the vehicles until they're ready to ship, which is better than than shipping the vehicles and dealing with the issue later. By no means is this official information, but I spoke with our company fleet manager today (we have (3) 09 FEH Limited's) on order and he got an email from our Ford rep last Friday and said that the delay in shipping had something to do with the aftermath of the hurricane in Houston as that's where some type of shipping point is for the rail cars and that there were over 92 rail cars waiting for shipment (not all obvioiusly with Ford vehicles). Anyhow so this may be adding to the delay. Again it's only second hand information that I was given. WSG

You helped many many people stay excited about their new car order through your tracking. Can't you make it a "subscribe to" service and get paid for it? I would think most folks on here wouldn't mind paying a reasonable fee for this service being as it doesn't seem that the dealers can provide the same level of tracking as you did... Just a thought... Take care Viper, and thanks again...
