boston
The Connect is sold in the UK with right hand drive. Ford could make a killing if they imported right hand drive versions for the US post office. These things are about the right size for a post van.

hee haw
The Connect is sold in the UK with right hand drive. Ford could make a killing if they imported right hand drive versions for the US post office. These things are about the right size for a post van. Canada Post bought 2300 Transit Connect, and they have safety problem with drivers exiting lefthand side of vehicle into traffic causing some customers to loose mail delivery. I was wondering if the righthand drive was available and was going to ask on here. Will try to get answer from Canada Post as to why they did not ask about them as they used to have righthand drive Jeeps that they paid a premium for. Of course this makes sense so why would any government do this. If Canada needs 2300 the total for Canada combined with the US should be at least a 25000 unit build. I agree Ford should look into this.
theoldwizard
I'll bet the current RHD Connect does not meet US safety standards. Also, the US Connect is sold with a gas (petrol) engine and I think all of the EU models are diesel.
