range
Look for a spike in Civic sales as they are starting to show up in daily rental fleets. Sort of suprising the Civic would be showing up in rental fleets so soon.
PolarBear
I've personally kind of pegged this one as a problem child for Honda.

grbeck
where do you get this info? It's all just conjecture at this point. Honda has sold Civics to "car sharing" companies based in major cities. The old Civic was sold in very small numbers to regular rental car companies, but certainly not in the percentages (or raw numbers) used by the domestics - such as GM - to prop up sales of flagging models. If I recall correctly, Honda's percentage of fleet sales is about 5 percent of total sales, which is quite low, especially compared to the domestics. RichardJensen
It's also low compared to Toyota. For the nth time (I never get tired of this statistic), the Accord is a more popular car among retail buyers. The Camry's number 1 status is propped up by fleet volume. ... marc-o
grbeck - I agree that's what I suspected. Pretty much any decent volume car company sells to fleets, that's a given. Fleet sales aren't bad in themselves, only when they get to a certain point, which leads me to RJ - I agree completely, just as the recent GM/Ford #1 sales crown thing, it's very easy for companies to play with their numbers by fudging/blurring results, which includes fleet sales. It's a real shame sales numbers aren't broken down this way.
