GM sees no need to shed brands

GM better think again about shedding brands.

Who needs Buick? That division should go. Their market are all on Social Security anyway and can't afford a new car.

Pontiac had a great heritage, but they are pretty dismal these days - time for them to get the heave-ho.

Saturn was a great concept, but they don't fit anymore, and their shovel-nosed cars are SOOOOOOOOO 1989...

Hummer? Come on now... in the age of $3/gallon gas those barges should be condemned - and the soccer moms driving them need to be stood up against a wall and shot. The H3 ain't gonna save you, and there are no new products in the works.

How about a GM of just Chevrolet, Cadillac, and Saab?

Thats just like saying how about Ford with just Ford and sod all its other brands.

GM would not be GM if it wasnt for its porfolio of brands like Buick, Pontiac etc.

PLUS... saying GM should get rid of Pontiac, Buick etc means getting rid of thousands of employees! Not a good thing to happen considering the loss of nearly 60,000 american jobs already annmounced by GM and FORD!!!!
